Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels in Lansdale, PA, is dedicated to ensuring that homebound neighbors receive nutritious meals, allowing them to stay in their own homes for as long as possible. Our program delivers freshly prepared hot meals, with an option for cold meals, directly to individuals who may struggle with cooking or grocery shopping due to age or disability. There are no income restrictions, and we suggest a nominal $2 donation per meal; however, no one is turned away due to inability to contribute. Each meal is crafted under the guidance of a registered dietitian to meet the dietary needs of older adults, providing one-third of their recommended daily nutrition. Community volunteers play a crucial role in this initiative, delivering meals Monday through Friday while also checking on recipients' well-being. We also prepare emergency snow packs for days when deliveries might be affected by weather. Serving the Upper Perkiomen Valley, our Meals on Wheels program empowers individuals by offering not just food, but companionship and care. Referrals are accepted from the Upper Perkiomen School District area only.
