Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels in King of Prussia, PA, is dedicated to providing nutritious meals to homebound individuals, allowing them to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Our program delivers hot meals for lunchtime and optional cold meals for the evening, all prepared by a professional caterer under the guidance of a registered dietitian to ensure they meet appropriate dietary standards for older adults. We welcome recipients of all income levels, asking only for a suggested donation of $2 per meal to help cover costs; however, no one will be turned away due to an inability to contribute. Each recipient undergoes a simple assessment by a Meals on Wheels coordinator from the Montgomery County Office of Senior Services to determine their eligibility based on need. Community volunteers play a vital role in our mission, providing meal delivery and friendly check-ins five days a week to ensure the well-being of those we serve. In the case of inclement weather, we prepare emergency “snow packs” to ensure that our clients never go hungry. Our service area includes the Upper Perkiomen Valley and referrals are accepted primarily from near the Upper Perkiomen School District, emphasizing our commitment to supporting our local neighbors.
