In Service of Seniors

In Service of Seniors, based in Irwin, PA, is a dedicated program of Wesley Family Services aimed at enhancing the independence and well-being of older adults in Allegheny County. With a strong focus on volunteer-driven support, we offer essential services such as grocery shopping assistance, food pantry delivery, and reliable transportation to medical appointments for seniors who can transfer in and out of vehicles independently. Our caring volunteers also provide friendly visits, help with reading mail, and conduct home safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure a secure living environment. Please note that our services are adapted based on community health guidelines, particularly related to COVID-19. To receive support, seniors must complete a screening form, enabling us to tailor services to their specific needs. While we strive to provide comprehensive assistance, please be aware that we do not offer cleaning, money management, personal care, or pet care services.
