The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Indiana, PA, is dedicated to fostering a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship offers hands-on training and mentorship to empower participants in organic food systems education. Our Fellows engage in impactful community initiatives, including growing diverse crops on market-style farms, conducting educational sessions to promote health literacy, and maintaining school and community gardens. Through a six-month immersive experience on the Allegheny Farm Campus followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows apply their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profit organizations to enhance access to healthy food and support food coalition efforts. We are committed to making this opportunity accessible, as we do not charge tuition for the program, ensuring that passionate individuals can join us in cultivating equitable food solutions for all.
