The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Harrisburg, PA, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become champions for a just, sustainable food system. Sponsoring a hands-on, immersive program at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, our fellowship offers an accessible education in organic farming and community food initiatives without tuition costs. During their six-month residency, selected Fellows learn to cultivate diversified crops, implement innovative educational programs in health care, manage school and community gardens, and enhance food and ecological literacy. After completing their training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with local non-profit organizations to expand healthy food access, support farmers markets, and mentor future leaders in food advocacy. Join us in transforming our food systems for the better—apply by March for an enriching experience from May through October.
