Meals On Wheels in Erie, PA, is dedicated to enhancing the independence and well-being of our senior neighbors. With a mission to provide vital food assistance, we deliver nutritious meals directly to over 400 low-income seniors throughout Erie County, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive at home. Funded by Pennsylvania State Lottery revenue, our program adapts continuously in response to increasing demand, prioritizing the health and safety of our vulnerable populations. Our home-delivered meal services include daily deliveries from Monday to Friday, weekend options with two frozen meals on Fridays, and holiday meals provided before significant dates. Each meal not only offers nourishment tailored to the specific health conditions of our seniors but also includes a safety check to monitor their living conditions and any medical needs. By partnering with the Area Agency on Aging for needs assessments, we strive to make a substantial difference in the lives of seniors, preventing the unnecessary transition to long-term care facilities.
