Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Elizabethtown, PA, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. By sponsoring and training dedicated Fellows, this program empowers individuals to promote social, environmental, and economic justice in our food practices. Fellows engage in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm, where they receive hands-on education in organic farming, food equity, and ecological literacy. Throughout the fellowship, participants grow and distribute diverse crops, run educational sessions, maintain community and school gardens, and support local farmers' markets and food coalition activities. The Fellowship eliminates tuition fees to enhance accessibility, fostering an inclusive environment for all aspiring leaders in food systems. Applications are accepted until March, with fellowships running from May to October, providing an invaluable opportunity to apply training in collaboration with regional non-profits.
