Paul Koehler

Paul Koehler, LCSW, is a dedicated Clinical Social Work therapist who has harnessed his extensive training and experience to deeply understand the intricate ways in which early experiences shape an individual's internal landscape and manifest in their relationships. His commitment is to deliver psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapy that is deep, thoughtful, and enduring, enabling clients to master their emotional challenges and enhance their self-esteem while fostering resilience, creativity, and self-discovery. Specializing in a wide range of issues, including various forms of depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties—such as separation and divorce—and the complexities of grief and loss, Paul brings a multifaceted approach to therapy. He has a wealth of experience working with fellow mental health practitioners, healthcare providers, and creative and performing artists, which adds an enriched perspective to his practice. Furthermore, Paul has contributed his expertise as a faculty member of the International Psychotherapy Institute in Washington, DC, from 2002 to 2022 and continues to actively teach at the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute. He is passionate about teaching continuing education seminars in Doylestown and Philadelphia and offers consultation and supervision to other mental health professionals.
