Meals on Wheels in Collegeville, PA, is dedicated to providing nutritious meals to homebound individuals, allowing them to maintain their independence at home. Our program features daily home-delivered meals, where recipients enjoy a hot meal upon delivery and have the option of requesting cold meals for later consumption, with no required income restrictions. Each meal, crafted by a professional caterer and guided by a registered dietician, meets 1/3 of the recommended dietary allowances for older adults, ensuring that their nutritional needs are met. Our caring volunteers deliver meals Monday through Friday, offering not just food, but also companionship and a safety check for each recipient. We prioritize recipient well-being with thorough assessments and ongoing support, and emergency 'snow packs' are available during inclement weather to ensure nobody goes hungry. Serving the Upper Perkiomen Valley and administered by The Center at The Open Link, our mission is clear: to ensure that every senior citizen struggling with daily meal preparation has access to the food assistance they need, while feeling valued and cared for in their own homes.
