Dr. Michael Silverstein is a dedicated clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience specializing in helping adults, both individuals and couples, find relief from common challenges such as anxiety, OCD, and relationship issues, including marital and premarital concerns. Utilizing evidence-based approaches that are scientifically proven to be effective, Dr. Silverstein guides his clients in developing practical coping skills and forming new habits that can be seamlessly integrated into their daily lives. As a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania, Dr. Silverstein has completed Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapy Training and holds certification from the American Psychological Association in the Treatment of Alcoholism & Other Substance Use Disorders. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut, an M.A. in Counseling from NYU, and a B.A. from Brown University. Furthermore, he is co-owner of Main Line Counseling Partners, where a variety of evidence-based modalities—including the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and more—are utilized to assist individuals, couples, children, and families in achieving their therapeutic goals.
