In Service of Seniors

In Service of Seniors, based in Allison Park, PA, is a dedicated program of Wesley Family Services focused on empowering older adults in Allegheny County to maintain their independence through essential volunteer-based support. Our mission centers around providing practical assistance such as grocery shopping, food pantry delivery, and transportation to medical appointments, prioritizing the health and safety of our seniors in light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. We facilitate friendly visits, help with reading mail, and conduct home safety inspections to identify and mitigate hazards, ensuring a secure living environment. To tailor our services effectively, we require beneficiaries to complete a screening form. While we aim to support seniors in various aspects of their lives, please note that our volunteers are not able to assist with house cleaning, money management, meal preparation, personal care, pet care, or moving tasks. We are here to serve our community’s seniors with care and practical support, ensuring they thrive in their golden years.
