Delivered Meals, part of the Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley in Allentown, PA, proudly serves homebound senior citizens and adults with disabilities by providing compassionate food assistance through home-delivered meals. Our dedicated volunteers ensure that every client receives not just nutritious, freshly prepared meals, but also the kindness and respect they deserve. We offer a variety of services including emergency food delivery and daily wellness checks, focusing on meals that are low-fat, low-sodium, and medically tailored to support specific dietary needs, such as those related to diabetes or kidney disease. Our rotating five-week menu, developed by a registered dietitian, adheres to strict Pennsylvania dietary guidelines for older adults, ensuring each meal meets nutritional requirements. Additionally, our line of Chef Packs offers convenient frozen meals that are healthy and preservative-free, ideal for those recovering at home or busy adults. We accommodate various financial needs through a sliding-fee scale and accept SNAP benefits, making our services accessible to all in need. Although grocery shopping services are currently limited due to the pandemic, our commitment to the health and well-being of our community remains steadfast.
