Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Aliquippa, PA, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for equitable food systems. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, this fellowship empowers participants to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Fellows engage in immersive education at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn to grow and distribute diversified crops, manage school gardens, and develop innovative food literacy programs in schools. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition, ensuring that all who are passionate about food justice have the opportunity to participate. Upon completion of their Fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year, applying their skills in collaboration with local non-profits to enhance community food access and support initiatives like farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. We invite all prospective fellows to apply by March for a transformative experience that typically runs from May to October, making a tangible difference in the community.
