Mary Hardy

Mary Hardy is a compassionate and experienced licensed professional counselor, holding both a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from NSU, Broken Arrow, and a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Ohio State University. Her approach to counseling is rooted in strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, and person-centered methodologies. She collaborates with clients to facilitate meaningful life changes through an exploration of personal identity, life challenges, and the development of healthy coping mechanisms. Mary guides her clients in addressing current stressors and core issues related to family origins, enhancing their communication and coping styles. The benefits of her counseling approach are profound, leading to a reduction in symptoms and negative thought patterns, while also promoting improved communication, relationships, self-esteem, and confidence. Mary enjoys working with adults, especially those in college or embarking on their careers, as well as caregivers. Her extensive experience encompasses various aspects of life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver support, co-dependency, recovery challenges, stress management, interpersonal communication, and establishing healthy boundaries. She has worked at all levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and inpatient settings, and has shared her knowledge as an Adjunct Professor, teaching courses in psychology and counseling.
