At the Diversity Center of Oklahoma Inc., the mission is clear: to reduce barriers for the Gender Diverse and LGBTQ+ communities, along with their families, particularly those who are disenfranchised and marginalized, including people of color. The center provides high-quality primary health care and behavioral health treatment, complemented by a range of additional health services. Clinicians and practitioners at the Diversity Center are deeply invested in the community, showcasing knowledge, empathy, and a strong affirmation of the diverse cultures within the LGBTQ+ spectrum. The Diversity Center proudly stands as an intentional and diverse collective of LGBTQIA therapists and allies. Drawing from their extensive personal and professional experiences, they strive to support LGBTQ individuals through the complexities of identity, transition, relationships, career development, and community involvement. They effectively address matters related to sexuality, intimacy, spirituality, addictions, and experiences of grief and loss. Furthermore, the Diversity Center hosts an Annual Gender Diverse and LGBTQ Symposium, providing valuable continuing education units (CEUs) for clinicians on emerging knowledge and best practices, fostering prevention, intervention, and support strategies that enhance relationships, behavioral health, spiritual well-being, and promote cultural and ethnic inclusivity.
