The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Choctaw, OK, is dedicated to empowering individuals passionate about creating equitable food systems that prioritize social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our comprehensive, hands-on training, we sponsor and support fellows to become educators and advocates within their communities. Participants engage in diverse activities, including sustainable crop production on market-style farms, implementing innovative health education sessions, maintaining community and school gardens, and enhancing food literacy through instructional support. Our fellowship experience, which includes six months of immersive education at our farm campus, culminates in a Community Action Year, where fellows apply their knowledge collaboratively with regional non-profits. We aim to foster increased access to nutritious food and bolster local food initiatives. Apply by March each year to join a movement that enhances food equity and cultivates community resilience.
