Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Checotah, OK, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders who advocate for a just and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, selected Fellows engage in a six-month immersive program at the Allegheny Farm, focusing on organic food system education and practical applications. Participants learn to grow and distribute a variety of crops, run educational programs on health and nutrition, and maintain school and community gardens, all aimed at enhancing food and ecological literacy. The Fellowship is designed to be accessible, with no tuition fees, ensuring that all passionate individuals can join. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement their knowledge and support initiatives that improve access to healthy foods.
