Stephanie Macdonald is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship at the core of her practice. She works diligently to create a safe, inviting, and accepting environment for each of her clients. Her counseling approach is both client-centered and strengths-based, expertly integrating a variety of theories, including Interpersonal Neurobiology, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and attachment science, all through a feminist and social justice-focused lens. As a certified Autism Clinical Specialist, she specializes in working with adults, couples, and young children. Her expertise extends to parent coaching, relationship counseling, and peri-natal counseling. Stephanie particularly excels in supporting Autistic youth and adults, including those who are late-realized, through play therapy designed for ages 3-10, alongside providing essential parent support. She understands that each individual's struggles are often intertwined with societal influences that can create or exacerbate personal trauma.
