The Salvation Army in Mount Vernon, OH, is committed to uplifting men, women, and children who are vulnerable and in need of assistance. Our mission revolves around offering essential services that include food assistance through our food pantry, financial support, and social and spiritual resources. We strive to empower individuals by teaching life skills that promote physical, emotional, and spiritual growth, ultimately facilitating transformative life changes. Our array of programs includes a dedicated food pantry open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, as well as support groups for men and women, energy and rent assistance, Christmas assistance, and an after-school learning zone for academic support.
