Frances Duncan

Frances Duncan, MSSW, LISW, is a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to providing expert quality care that acknowledges the uniqueness of each individual. With 33 years of clinical experience, she has successfully assisted children, teens, families, and adults through a diverse range of life challenges. Frances understands that time can often slip away, leading to feelings of unhappiness and stress. She believes that when circumstances are beyond our control, a shift in perspective can illuminate what truly matters. Specializing in trauma and PTSD treatment, including support for victims of sexual abuse, she employs a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Play Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Frances is skilled in addressing the needs of children as young as three years old, particularly those with special needs or facing family separations and school issues. She also offers support to adults and couples navigating significant life changes. Co-located with the Grass Roots Enrichment and Wellness Center for Children and Families, a non-profit organization, Positive Solutions Counseling serves as a transformative gateway to improved health and development for individuals of all ages.
