Eric Riesterer, a licensed professional counselor (MA, LPC), has cultivated a rich background in community, university, and school-based counseling across several esteemed institutions, including Glen Oak High School, Fairview MS/HS, and Akron Leadership Academy. He views counseling as an empowering journey, guiding clients to take charge of their own mental health through a combination of life experience and education. Eric's mission is to equip clients with effective strategies, resources, and skills that empower them to excel in their daily lives. He is a firm believer that each client is their own expert, and his role is to ask the right questions that facilitate discovery and growth. His areas of expertise include child and adolescent mental health, student-athlete and sports psychology counseling services, family counseling, military psychotherapy, and substance use counseling focused on recovery and maintenance. Drawing from his unique experiences as a former Army petroleum engineer and track and cross country coach at Hudson High School, along with his competitive background as a regional endurance athlete, Eric connects deeply with clients, providing a nurturing environment for holistic healing and growth.
