Simon Woliver, MA, LPCC-S, LICDC, is a dedicated counselor who is passionate about guiding clients to experience the present moment without judgment, fostering body and emotion-focused awareness. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Addiction Studies from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Ohio State University. Simon completed an extensive 18-month training program in Gestalt theory and practice at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in 2017, as well as specialized training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for addressing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. His extensive experience includes working with a diverse university student population, and he has developed a strong expertise in dual diagnosis and substance use disorders. Simon has a particular focus on trauma, LGBTQ issues, anxiety, depression, family of origin concerns, men's issues, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. His therapeutic style employs Gestalt, interpersonal process, and motivational interviewing techniques, all while honoring the unique experiences, cultures, and identities of each client. Through this understanding, Simon encourages clients to explore their full range of emotions in the here and now, fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.
