Mikelle Powers is a skilled Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Social Work, both obtained from The Ohio State University. She has dedicated her career to supporting adults in various settings, including community mental health and private practice, assisting them with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, and major life transitions. Mikelle is experienced in a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, along with mindfulness and relaxation techniques. With Level 1 training in EMDR Therapy, she has a compassionate and strengths-based approach to treatment. She is honored to support clients during some of their most challenging times, ensuring they feel accompanied on their journey toward healing and personal growth. Mikelle believes that fostering a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship is crucial for clients as they work toward their goals.
