Curtis Haywood is a highly experienced Counselor, LPCC-S, LICDC, who brings 30 years of depth and breadth to his clinical practice. He works with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health concerns, including addiction, anxiety, and depression. Throughout his practice, Curtis adopts a Client-Centered approach and integrates techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and interpersonal processing. He encourages clients to engage in existential explorations that seek to uncover meaning and purpose in their lives, integrating Logotherapy and other philosophies centered on meaning into his therapeutic work. Curtis has a particular specialization in assisting clients grappling with various forms of addiction, as well as those dealing with issues relating to personal identity, such as sexual, gender, and spiritual identity. He is adept at navigating the challenges of grief, loss, and relationship difficulties. A proud graduate of Clemson University and The Ashland Theological Seminary, Curtis has accumulated extensive experience in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, comprehensive substance use treatment facilities, university counseling centers, and private practice settings.
