With a deep respect for all racial and ethnic backgrounds, Awakenings is a licensed psychologist equipped with a robust background in spiritual practice, religious studies (BA), spiritual counseling (MA), and counseling psychology (PhD). They are also EMDRIA certified in EMDR for trauma treatment and Applied Existential Psychotherapy, specializing in cult abuse, spiritual and religious crises, as well as meditation-related challenges. While they do not provide faith-based counseling and identify not as a guru or religious leader, Awakenings employs evidence-based approaches and views the therapeutic process as fundamentally sacred.
