Mobile Food Pantries, an initiative by Lutheran Social Services, is dedicated to combating food insecurity in Columbus, OH, by delivering essential food assistance directly to communities in need. Our mission is to meet families where they are, providing emergency food support to ensure everyone has access to nutritious meals. We traverse neighborhoods, offering a convenient solution to hunger, and strive to uplift lives by fulfilling basic nutritional needs. Residents of Franklin and Delaware Counties can visit our mobile pantries without a referral, while those in Fairfield County are encouraged to obtain a referral before arriving. To assist in reaching more families, we have temporarily increased our income eligibility criteria to 230% of the federal poverty level due to the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
