Grocery Bag Program

The Grocery Bag Program at the Good Samaritan Hunger Center in Akron, OH, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing nutritious, hot meals and grocery bags filled with essential food items to those in need. Each adult from a household is welcome to receive groceries and hot soup, with just one member required to verify eligibility under The Emergency Food Assistance Program guidelines. There are no limits on visits, ensuring ample access to food assistance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our service to a drive-by format, prioritizing safety while continuing to meet critical nutritional needs.
