Women, Infant and Children (WIC)

Located in Whitestone, NY, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program is dedicated to enhancing the health of low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and their children through invaluable food assistance and nutrition education. Our mission is to provide essential support to families by offering nutritious foods and personalized breastfeeding guidance, ensuring that infants and children up to five years old receive the vital nutrients often lacking in their diets. Through WIC, participants benefit from longer, healthier pregnancies and a decrease in premature births. To qualify, individuals must meet specific criteria related to residency, income, and health status.
