Veterans' Services

Veterans' Services is dedicated to supporting the brave men and women of our armed forces as they navigate the transition to civilian life in Valley Stream, NY. We recognize the unique challenges faced by veterans and their families, and we are here to provide essential food assistance through our Military Appreciation Tuesdays. This weekly event at our pantries allows veterans to access not only nutritious food, but also personal care items, household products, pet food, and school supplies, alongside valuable resources about veteran-specific benefits. Our Mobile Pantry program ensures that homebound and disabled veterans receive nutritious groceries directly to their homes. Additionally, the VetsWork initiative empowers veterans to develop job skills, craft effective cover letters and résumés, and gain real-world experience through volunteer and training opportunities. We invite all veterans and their families to reach out for support and discover the array of services available to help them thrive in our community.
