MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans in Valley Stream, NY, by offering a comprehensive approach to weight management and health promotion. Our mission focuses on screening every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity and connecting them with tailored weight management services that best suit their individual needs. Participants can choose from various care options including group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which allows for in-home messaging and clinician support. Veterans who prefer a self-guided approach can utilize the MOVE! Coach mobile app. We also provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for those who continue to face challenges despite utilizing our program.
