At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Utica, NY, our mission is to cultivate passionate advocates for a just food system that serves our communities socially, environmentally, and economically. We sponsor and empower Fellows through a transformative, tuition-free experience that emphasizes organic food system education and hands-on learning. During their six-month tenure at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected individuals will engage in diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm, implementing health-focused educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. Our Fellows also play a vital role in enhancing food literacy in schools while supporting local farmers markets and developing channels for increased access to nutritious foods. Following their immersion, they enter a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to apply their training effectively. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October, fostering a new generation of leaders committed to improving our food systems.
