Smart Meals in Troy, NY is dedicated to enhancing the nutritional well-being of individuals and families living with HIV and AIDS. Our mission is to empower our members through comprehensive food assistance and educational resources focused on improving diet quality, physical activity, and food security. We offer three key programs: our Community Meal Program provides nutritious, restaurant-quality lunches and dinners on weekdays, alongside access to dietary assessments and counseling from a registered dietitian. The Grocery Education Program delivers a weekly grocery bag filled with healthy food options and meal recipes, helping members prepare nutritious meals at home. Additionally, our Food Voucher Program issues monthly vouchers for members and their dependent children, allowing them to purchase healthy food at Price Chopper.
