The White Plains Community Action Program (WPCAP) is dedicated to combating poverty and enhancing the lives of individuals and families in Spring Valley, NY. With a focus on serving the emerging immigrant community and residents of public housing, we provide essential resources such as our emergency food pantry, which ensures access to nutritious food for those in need. Our holistic approach includes support programs like the Family Re-Entry Program and Project Green Thumb, alongside wellness seminars aimed at promoting healthy eating habits. We are committed to our youth through partnerships with the City of White Plains Youth Bureau for after-school support, and we also offer vital utility assistance during the winter months. WPCAP fosters community spirit through engaging social events, seasonal initiatives such as holiday food baskets and toy giveaways, and the Ferris Avenue Beautification Project, ensuring our efforts uplift and empower all members of our community.
