Located in Schenectady, NY, Women, Infants, Children (WIC) is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to five years old through essential food assistance and comprehensive nutrition education. Our program provides breastfeeding support, referrals, and access to nutritious foods that are vital for the healthy growth and development of both mothers and young children. WIC is committed to ensuring that our participants enjoy longer, healthier pregnancies and experience fewer premature births. Eligibility is open to pregnant women, infants, mothers of infants, and breastfeeding mothers who meet income guidelines or receive assistance from programs such as Food Stamps or Medicaid, regardless of U.S. citizenship status. To apply, simply bring proof of identity, residency, and income to your appointment, along with any required medical documentation.
