Women, Infant and Children (WIC)

Located in Rego Park, NY, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children up to age five. Through specialized nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and access to a variety of nutritious foods, WIC addresses critical dietary needs that are often unmet in vulnerable populations. Participants benefit from improved health outcomes, including longer, healthier pregnancies and reduced rates of premature births. To qualify for WIC, applicants must be pregnant, breastfeeding, or a parent of an infant or child under five and meet specific income guidelines or participate in other assistance programs.
