White Plains Community Action Program (WPCAP)

The White Plains Community Action Program (WPCAP) is dedicated to tackling poverty and enhancing the well-being of our local residents in Port Chester, NY. With a commitment to serving 712 units of public housing and various federally subsidized buildings, we focus on supporting our primary demographic, which includes emerging immigrants and individuals and families living at or below the poverty line. Our comprehensive services include an emergency food pantry, family re-entry programs, Project Green Thumb's 'Just Say Yes' produce initiative, and healthy eating seminars. Additionally, we offer essential assistance through winter home energy and utility support, as well as youth engagement through partnerships with the City of White Plains Youth Bureau after school programs. We are proud to foster community spirit through annual social events, beautification projects on Ferris Avenue, summer sponsorships, and holiday initiatives that provide food baskets and toys for families in need. At WPCAP, we strive to empower our community, providing the necessary resources and support for a brighter future.
