White Plains Community Action Program (WPCAP)

The White Plains Community Action Program (WPCAP) is dedicated to combating poverty in New Rochelle, NY, by providing essential services to individuals and families of all ages, including the emerging immigrant population. We operate an emergency food pantry, ensuring access to vital food assistance for those in need. Our comprehensive offerings include a Family Re-Entry Program, the 'Just Say Yes' Produce Program under Project Green Thumb, and wellness seminars focused on healthy eating. We collaborate with the City of White Plains Youth Bureau for after-school partnerships, and offer Winter Season Home Energy Assistance and Utility Assistance to support families during challenging times. Additionally, we host annual community events, the Ferris Avenue Beautification Project, summer sponsorships, and a holiday food basket and toy giveaway, all aimed at enriching lives and fostering a spirit of community.
