At Services for People with Developmental Disabilities in Mount Vernon, NY, we are dedicated to empowering over 100 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through comprehensive and compassionate services. Our organization operates 16 residential programs, including 15 Individualized Residential Alternatives and 1 Intermediate Care Facility, providing a secure and nurturing environment across Westchester, Rockland Counties, and the Bronx, cared for by our highly trained staff available around the clock. In addition to our residential offerings, we facilitate two community-based day habilitation programs that focus on health, well-being, recreation, and social engagement. Our commitment to enhancing quality of life extends through our Medicaid Service Coordination for over 80 individuals, ensuring tailored services that cater to their unique needs. Through robust volunteer efforts with local fire departments and animal shelters, as well as programs like Meals on Wheels, we foster community integration. Moreover, our Self-Advocacy program encourages individuals to advocate for themselves and support one another, enriching their personal growth and independence.
