Women, Infants, Children (WIC) serves the Massapequa, NY community by providing essential food assistance and nutrition education to low-income pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and young children up to the age of five. Our program is dedicated to promoting health and wellness by offering nutritious foods and support services that address dietary gaps often seen in this demographic. With a focus on improving pregnancy outcomes and fostering healthy development, WIC helps ensure that mothers and their children receive the vital nutrients they need for longer, healthier lives. Eligibility includes being pregnant, a new mother, or a child under five, residents of New York State, and meeting specific income guidelines or participation in programs like Food Stamps or Medicaid. To join, individuals should bring proof of identity, residency, income, and any relevant healthcare documentation to their appointment.
