MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans in Long Beach, NY, through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened for obesity annually, providing tailored referrals to various weight management options that cater to their individual needs and preferences. With a range of services including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, the innovative TeleMOVE! program for in-home support, and the MOVE! Coach mobile app for self-directed weight management, we make it easier for Veterans to find the right path for achieving their health goals. For those facing ongoing challenges, we also offer access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery after exploring our other interventions.
