MOVE! Weight Management Program

Located in Lockport, NY, the MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through a comprehensive approach to weight management and health promotion. Our mission focuses on annually screening each Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity, connecting them to tailored weight management services, and providing diverse treatment options that align with their individual needs and preferences. We offer a variety of care solutions, including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! program, which brings in-home messaging and clinician support directly to Veterans. For those who prefer self-management, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available, while weight loss medications and bariatric surgery options are accessible for individuals who face persistent challenges despite program participation.
