MOVE! Weight Management Program

Located in Huntington, NY, the MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through tailored weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to ensure that all Veterans accessing care at VA facilities are screened for obesity and provided with a range of effective treatment options that cater to their unique needs and preferences. MOVE! offers various supportive avenues including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! for in-home assistance. For those who prefer self-directed management, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is available, along with access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans facing ongoing challenges with weight. Each VA facility may offer different services, so we encourage Veterans interested in weight loss to connect with their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to embark on their journey toward better health.
