Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Endicott, NY, empowers individuals to become advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this program is dedicated to social, environmental, and economic justice in food production. With no tuition fees, the Fellowship prioritizes accessibility, allowing participants to engage in organic food education while working on community initiatives. Fellows dedicate six transformative months to hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm, collaborating with local organizations to promote diversified crop production, implement innovative health care education, and maintain community gardens. Through this Fellowship, individuals gain the skills to enhance food literacy, support farmers markets, and develop better access to healthy foods. The journey culminates in a Community Action Year, where knowledge is put into practice, and applications are accepted until March each year with experiences generally running from May through October.
