The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Elmira, NY, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to champion a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and accessible to all. This immersive program offers Fellows the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning about organic agriculture, community gardening, and food system advocacy. Participants work collaboratively with local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement educational initiatives focused on health and nutrition, and promote food literacy within schools. Through the Fellowship, selected individuals will spend six months at the Allegheny Farm Campus gaining invaluable experience, followed by a year of community action where they apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profits. The Fellowship is committed to accessibility, as there are no tuition fees, allowing passionate advocates to join the movement for healthier food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program kicking off in May.
