Located in Central Islip, NY, the Nutrition Education & Food Services Program is dedicated to supporting individuals living with HIV/AIDS in our community. As the only food pantry in Nassau County specifically tailored for this population, we provide much-needed nutrition education and emergency food assistance through our free food pantry and home-delivered meal service. Our mission is to empower those affected by the AIDS epidemic, particularly from low-income and minority backgrounds, by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve their health and well-being. We collaborate closely with local hospitals to ensure participants have access to ongoing medical care and offer educational resources aimed at reducing disease transmission. At Nutrition Education & Food Services, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with HIV/AIDS through compassionate support and practical assistance.
