Located in Buffalo, NY, Preventive Services, part of OLV Human Services, is dedicated to supporting families referred by the Erie County Department of Social Services who are facing challenges in areas such as parenting, interpersonal conflicts, education, substance abuse, and family violence. Our mission is to safeguard families and prevent the need for children to be placed outside their homes. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including case management, parenting education, nutrition guidance, budgeting assistance, and essential health and hygiene skills. Additionally, we connect families with community resources like individual and group counseling, psychological consultations, and advocacy to help them navigate everyday stresses. All referrals for our vital services must be certified by the Erie County Department of Social Services, and we provide assistance without regard to income, ensuring that help is accessible for those in need.
