Purple Pantry

Purple Pantry, located in Albany, NY, is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity among the UAlbany community by providing essential food assistance and personal care items to students, faculty, and staff. Aiming to meet basic nutritional needs, the pantry is fully stocked with non-perishable foods, frozen items, fresh produce, and personal hygiene products. Users can access the pantry once every 30 days, receiving up to four days' worth of food for themselves and their immediate household members. Beyond immediate food relief, Purple Pantry also offers valuable programs, including screenings for WIC/SNAP benefits, consultations with nutritionists, and financial management resources, all designed to empower individuals to achieve greater stability. We are committed to supporting the UAlbany community in times of need.
