Genevieve Shineman

Genevieve Shineman is a dedicated Clinical Social Worker and Therapist with a deep belief in the inherent healing process present within individuals, families, and relationships. She prioritizes safety and stabilization during times of crisis, enabling her clients to embark on a powerful journey toward self-discovery and healing. With specialized training in mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-focused treatments, dissociation, and complex relational trauma, Genevieve is proficient in various therapeutic modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed approaches. Her experience extends to couples and family therapy, drawing from narrative and attachment-based techniques. Genevieve's early education in the Arts, culminating in an MFA from NYU Tisch School, enriches her understanding of creativity’s role in mental health.
