Diana Akeret, a dedicated Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, brings her expertise to support First Responders, Military personnel, Veterans, and Medical and Behavioral Health Professionals facing the challenges of critical incidents, trauma, and cumulative stress. With a deep understanding of how traumatic stress - whether arising from a single event or long-term experiences - can hinder resilience and overall well-being, Diana utilizes specific interventions aimed at alleviating the burdens of negative memories and beliefs. She helps her clients enhance their emotional regulation, presence in the moment, and overall optimism. Having experienced the pressures of first responder life herself, Diana is acutely aware of the toll that deployments, critical incidents, and cumulative stress can take on performance in both professional and personal arenas. As a fully certified clinician in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), and a Certified Professional through the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), Diana is committed to fostering a path to mental wellness for her clients, ensuring they can achieve a healthier mind, body, and spirit.
