Alison Silver

Alison Silver is a compassionate Creative Arts Therapist dedicated to fostering a warm atmosphere of relaxation and encouraging communication through creativity. With experience across various settings, she has worked with diverse populations, including the Monmouth Medical Center’s In-patient Behavioral Health Hospital, the MMC Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder Outreach Program, the Bristol Myers-Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson, New Brunswick, and The PALS program at the YWCA Union County, supporting victims of domestic violence. This breadth of experience allows Alison to engage not only with individual patients but also their families, creating a holistic therapeutic approach. She is a client-centered clinician who tailors her methods to meet the unique needs of each person, integrating the creative mind with traditional psychoanalysis to help establish identity, focus thought processes, and discover innovative ways to embrace oneself. Alison encourages her clients to take an active role in their therapeutic journey. With a Masters of Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt Institute, she is a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC) and a Certified Family Trauma Professional, with additional certifications in Sand Play and Domestic Violence and Trauma. Her expertise and empathetic approach make her a valuable partner in the journey of self-discovery and healing.
